Ed has been practicing in Bellingham since 2004.  He holds a Washington State license to perform acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Ed is a graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon and is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Ed understands the power of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a tool for optimal health. This system of healthcare has been used to treat and prevent illness for over 3,000 years and includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, nutrition and exercise.

This form of healthcare is not only beneficial for those with “typical” illnesses, but also works well for the finely tuned bodies of athletes. This can be witnessed through Ed’s services as acupuncture sponsor of the Western Washington University cycling team- National road and cyclocross champions in 2007.

Traditional Chinese Medicine looks at the body as a whole rather than a sum of its parts which is part of the appeal for Ed. Disorders that may be difficult to treat with conventional medicine may respond well to Traditional Chinese Medicine due to its holistic approach to the body and mind.

Ed has also explored the benefits of various forms of body movement as he is a certified yoga instructor, and has studied both Kundalini and Ashtanga styles of yoga. In addition to engaging in his healing work Ed is proud to be an active and energetic dad of twin girls.
